Organic Mountain Garlic is a family run, Australian business that was established in 2006. We grow our certified organic garlic in the beautiful Bellinger valley and on the Dorrigo mountain escarpment. Our garlic is grown in heavily composted soils, rich in minerals and trace elements.
After expanding the crop for a number of years to ensure we are producing the best quality garlic; we are now proud to present our garlic to the commercial market for the first time. We will be harvesting a fantastic looking crop in December 2010 and OMG garlic will be on the market, packed and ready to sell at this time.
Currently, we grow the large clove ‘Russian’ garlic. It has a wonderful flavour and is even delicious eaten raw. Due to the generous size of the cloves, many cooks prefer it, as it’s easier to prepare and has a longer shelf life. Organic garlic is renowned for its flavourful and nutritious properties and has major health benefits, if eaten regularly.
